Keyworth Tennis Club is a small/medium-sized tennis club located in South Nottinghamshire.
Keyworth differs from most other clubs, primarily because of the way in which it is funded. The Keyworth Playing Fields Association (KPFA) which manages a number of local sports clubs (bowls green, cricket pitch, football pitch etc) around the central playing fields, on behalf of the Keyworth Parish Council. The Tennis Club has a long-term lease on the land: a condition of which is that the tennis club must make tennis accessible to the community. Membership fees are the lowest in Nottinghamshire to ensure that anybody is able to play. You don't have to be a member to play on the courts as non-members are always welcome to play (fees apply).
Facilities
The club has four, all-weather courts, all of which have floodlights. The club house is a comfortable facility with dressing rooms/showers, toilets, a kitchen and bar area with a pool table. Rackets for children's coaching sessions are available.
Membership
Membership is for a year, starting in April with fees for juniors, intermediates, adults and families. Contact the membership secretary for further details, or use the downloadable form.
Social & Matchplay
The club enjoys a regular calendar of events providing a healthy mix of tennis and social activities. All members of all abilities are encouraged to participate in the various club teams competing in the county summer & winter leagues. Unlike larger clubs, where competition is fierce, Keyworth TC has plenty of opportunities for all to enjoy matchplay!
Committee
Our committee oversees the running of the club. Everyone is encouraged to help in the various activities throughout the year and those who are keen to take a more active role are always welcomed with open arms.
